120 hz luminosity fluctuations
The turn-on time plot above shows luminosity fluctuations of nearly 20%. The 5 hz frequency is actually the beat frequency of the 40 msec sample rate and the 120 hz luminosity fluctuations. The 40 msec sample rate (25 hz frequency) has a 125 hz harmonic that mixes with the 120 hz frequency, resulting in a 5 hz output.
This lamp has the largest luminosity fluctuation of any lamp tested so far including other LED, CFL, and incandescent lamps.
For reference, the Philips 12.5w LED is the only lamp tested so far of any type that has essentially no 120 hz fluctuation visible at the resolution limit of my tests.
